A few words about Giota

Heeeello beautiful people! This is were I intoduce myself, and throw around a few crazy facts about myself so you decide to follow me here, and perhaps send me something crazy about youself here!

Soooo welcome to my little corner of the internet! Here you will find articles and videos, about all the things that make me happy. Things like traveling, documenting these travels with my camera, the random thoughts and epiphanies of life on the road, and the lifestyle experiments and results that spark from all of the above.

Crazy facts about me:
- I am from Greece (come on... a place like Greece can only be crazy right!)
- I have lived in 8 countries (6 of those before I turned 18!)
- I am trained as a neuroscientist! - (Science is incredible but academia and medicine were not my cup of tea)
- I was cross-country skiing a day before giving birth to my baby
- I have never had a Coke!

In the middle of 2021, I embarked on my biggest adventure yet.... motherhood! Apollo came into this world every bit as unconventionally as you can imagine. You can read all about it here!

At six months old, he has never been home, although he has been in over 50 hotels, 40 flights and 15 countries! That's right we decided to leave the lockdown uncertainty of New Zealand behind and travel the world.

I don't know how my story goes for here on... but I want to take you along! I am starting on my journey as a Youtuber and content creator, and I sincerely hope it adds value and fun to the day of everyone that is watching!

Where do you live?

When we don't travel full-time we are based in Auckland, New Zealand. Although a second base somewhere in Europe is also in the works!

What are you favorite destinations?

Greece has a special place in my heart, as I was born there, and I truly believe you could spend your whole life exploring its islands, and mountains and you would still find something jaw-dropping and unexpected. I believe every destination is unique if you take the time to immerse yourself in the rhythm of its philosophy and that's why I prefer to travel slowly and mindfully.

Do you have a nanny? How do you travel with a baby?

Nope, just a mom n dad show here! I think it's important to be transparent about what it takes to travel full-time, to empower other parents to get out with their little ones. Travelling with a baby can be a little more stressful at times, but for the most part is not as complicated as you might think!
